But I hope to add this to shtf duty, as soon as I put some more rounds through it, and change the rear sight and front furniture:

This thread reminds me how badly I need to take some better pictures.

    Winchester 94 30-30 and Marlin 60 .22

soon to add a remington 700 in .270 for longer work and such that it is more suited for then the 30-30

I've just never been much of a shotgun guy but I will confess, if you want one do it all gun a 12 guage is it.

Yeah, the bipod is nice to have on there, but heavy. Not that any FAL is ever going to be light, but the bipod and metal handguards do add a good bit of weight to the front of what is supposed to be (in my mind anyway) a relatively quick handling carbine. I think both are going to go in favor of some plastic handguards.

You know the only solution for you is to get both. :)

Sadly no pics, but since I don't own any of those nasty guns, officer, it wouldn't make much difference anyway. :)

I just have to hope my trusty Red Ryder will see me through any rough spots.

Nasty horrid thing, guns. I plan on throwing my toaster oven at any bad people, and if that doesn't work, I'll scream like a little girl, and run with my braids flapping in the breeze!:what: :neener:
