Twas the nite before Christmas, and all thru the city---
tree huggers were drunk---passed out ( what a pity)
so lets all trade our g-u-n-s, our a-m-mo and k-n-i-v-e-s,
before the dawn breaks, and the flaggers get jived.
I have a winchester, all shiney and bright,
that I'll sell for a price, for you that's just right.
A Marlin so sweet,you'll keep her forever,
unless I get flagged by a nasty fat heifer.
so get all your stuff, on C L this fine night,
cause Santa just told me the timing's just right.

Some of us are just inclined that way...
With me it's limericks. I even wrote a three-limerick (plus two prose paragraphs) valedictorian message for my Citizens Police Academy graduation night. Kinda blew away the group's trainer. I gave him a copy of the whole message. It's going into the class history archive.

On another forum there are several of us who've written good limericks on this or that topic (usually humor)... I started a thread one day a couple of years ago ('the limerick contest' thread) and it was scary how many of us could pull it off really well.

You just never know who's out there reading... and writing...
