I want to make a purchase from this company, but they hardly have anything I want in stock. Therefore, my question is this: Can I place an order from them and have them fill my order before shipping it out? I know that the liklihood of everything being in stock at once is slim. Therefore, I would rather make my purchase now so that they can start filling my order, even if it doesn't fill and ship for months. I only want to pay one HAZMAT and shipping fee. Has anyone done this with Powder Valley or other companies? Thanks.

I have used them a good bit and often they are slow shipping but very nice folks - they respond to email so I recommend you check with them on your needs. I have primers backordered with them and gave them instructions that they could substitute any brand they get in stock - still been bo for a good while.

Lately most of the suppliers are out of everything. I've been looking for small rifle primers in either federal or winchester for a couple of months. That said, I've always had good service with Powder Valley but you might try Widners.

Call them and they will explain the ways things are currently going. IIRC you call them and place an order, when they get it in and it is your turn they will ship it. I was told NOT to expect to see stock reflected in their online catalog because they have everything accounted for before it gets to them. They are getting shipments but it goes in one door and out the other. When things settle down there will be stock on the shelves but till then nope.

I placed an order with Powder Valley recently. They called me to let me know that everything I ordered was out of stock. I was given a choice of waiting until everything ordered was in so that only one shipment (and one hazmat fee) would be made, or of having things shipped as they came in.

It's nice to have a choice, and the person that called was friendly and efficient.

Hi,

I would like to place a order for some powder and primers. I know everything is backordered and I have no problem waiting. My question is I only want to pay one hazmat fee so if when I place my order online, under special instructions can I state to hold my order until all items are available and avoid duplicate hazmat fees? Also I have ordered from you before so do I need to resubmit a copy of my driver’s license?

Good point! I have an order pending with them for powder and primers, I suppose I should mention shipping them both together if possible. Just got an email yesterday about it, I'll just send them a reply.
