I've been looking at these's Precision black bullets for awhile now but I hav'nt heard to much talk about them. That's never a good sign. Anybody using them ?

I have shot the Precision .45 200 Gr SWC's and they shoot real well. Still have a few.

Thanks for the reply Walkalong. Did you use lead or jacketed data ?

I really like them. I've used too many to count.
I ordered 3,500 in 9mm, but they're so busy I haven't been able to wait that long. Recently picked up 1,000 copper plated JRN at a show.

For the moly ones, I used JRN values out of my books.
I never got into my box of SWC, so didn't try those, but probably would have used the load data for lead SWC.

I use em. I used Masterblaster before they folded. Same bullet, different manufacturer.

I've shot 1,000's of these bullets. Load to lead data. The coating give you more velocity than lead, thus increasing the PF or you can reduce the stated loading for the lead bullet by 10% to achieve the published performance.

Do not use Jacketed data.

The are kindof smokey and will get you the stinkeye from other people at the range if you shoot indoors much.

They leave hard to clean out black crap in the barrel, the emit an acrid chemical smoke, I have 750 of the initial thousand I ordered 4 years ago. I will only use them outside, and only when I run out of every other Bullet (not soon since I just recd 7000 200 lswc from penn bullet co) because I dont know what I am breathing when I shoot them.
I get better results and less fouling, from hardcast lead lubed with wax.

Precision Cast is located in Kemp Texas IIRC.

I ordered 500 200 grn .451 swc form them ! got an Email saying it will be about 8 weeks before I get them ! They must be busy !

Danger! Will Robinson!

If they've charged your credit card you have no recourse after 60 days.

I got the same BS from Northeastern Bullet Co. before they went under, at least I got half my order before being ripped off for the rest.

If Tim McCandless resurfaces in the reloading business, run don't walk away!

I have shot the .40 170s and liked them. The last order I placed was around January 1st and I still have not gotten them. I would be very wary at this point.

I've used them for years. Great product. They are busy. They do not charge your card until they ship, and they will email you to let you know when they ship. They are behind because they are popular.

I got just what i ordered !

I recieved my order from precision bullets the other day ! They even gave me an extra 100 bullets ! I loaded and have shot about 200 rounds so far ! they are accurate and havent leaded the barrell ! I will be ordering more of them soon ! Kevin

I have not shot them yet but I have 1000 155gr .40's

The lead times can be long on some bullets but short on others I guess it must depend on what grain bullet he is making when.
Don't worry about the lead times though because he does NOT charge your credit card until it is going to ship. Also was very nice and helpful when I called.

These are good bullets. Polymer coat keeps lead exposure to minimum and barrel leading is vitually non-existant. Very accurate bullets in my 1911 and Glock. I just placed an order over the weekend. The biggest problem with them is I think it's a small shop. They used to offer a lot more calibers and bullets weights, but I think they got overwhelmed with orders and had to cut back to the staple calibers, 9mm. .40S&W and .45ACP.

I am shooting plated bullets in 9MM & .40 S&W these days, but W231, Unique, AA #5, WSF, N330/340, will all work well with your Precision bullets in 9MM & .40 cal. I still have 100 180's in .40 Cal on the shelf. I shot some in .40 & a ggod bit in .45. They shot very well for me in the .45 & OK in the .40 S&W.

Use lead data.

I like 'em. use them in 9mm and 45acp for outdoor only. Remember folks, you can't even smoke in a bar in California, much less an indoor range.

*About smoking in a bar in California, pretty soon there will be no drinking and no talking!!!
