Savage 12 LRPV, target action and AT, 26" barrel, H-S Precision stock, left port / right bolt, single shot. It's bona fide!

Here's a rifle from another time that is still very accurate. It was made to be shot off hand too. BTW this one is not mine and I have posted photos of it before but it is a well known design from the early 20th century. The design goes back earlier. I am storing this rifle for a friend now so I have shot it. It has a 2 oz., double set trigger if that tells you anything.

This one is pretty accurate but not on the same level as some of the other stuff in this thread. Still I would be hard pressed to let go of it.

Just for the record here's a group I shot with the CZ. I think it qualifies as a precision rifle. :) This is 5 shots at 50 yards. I've shot quite a few like this one too.

Here is a pair of 6mm Dashers. I no longer own the big 16.8lb rifle, but have a new on being built. Will be another Dasher, but will be built on a BAT action.

I use both for a local 100, 300 and 500 yard groundhog match and the big one is what I use to shoot 1k BR with.

i like it quite a bit. i think i prefer shooting prone with a traditional stock with a palm swell instead of a chassis, but it sure makes positional easier and is seems lighter weight (which it may or may not be) and easier to carry

No picture of the rifle, but here's a shot of the target from today. I got a Remington 700 AAC-SD a while ago. All I've done to it is put a scope on it. I finished the first ten rounds of break-in shooting one then cleaning. The three shots in the blue circle were the first three shot group out of this rifle. Not too bad...

Thanks Taliv! I'm awful jealous of your suppressors.

just a good old fashion 700 action, trued up though! started life as a 700p. the bolt knob is from Phoenix Custom Rifles.

here are the rest of the specs:

Brux barrel in 308, 1:10. with the muzzle brake, its like 26". light varmint contour
    Shilen trigger at 2.5#'s
    HS precision stock
    Seekins rings/base
USO 3.2-17x, MPR, illum, etc etc.

178gr Amax's at about 2700fps, but maybe faster, my numbers are more effecient than the results of 2700fps in a g7 calculator.

    Solid .5moa rifle!

I'm in the middle of building this one.....budget precision rifle for sure. Savage MkII FV-SR in 22LR. DIP trigger guard, bottom metal and hardware with a Boyd's stock. Glass is a Bushnell Elite 3200 in Warne QD low rings. I need to order a bipod and some sort of long muzzle device until I can get a can (it looks quite strange with the short barrel meant for a suppressor).

I kind of like it like that... it reminds me of this:

The GA Precision "Gladius" - the SF muzzle brake makes the barrel look longer than it is but its really only 18" which is short for a precision rifle.

Is that brake threaded on or integral to the barrel?

Here's the wife's precision MKII, I cut the barrel to 16.25".

One of my 308's, this one sports a 16" tube, makes shooting suppressed a bit handier.

CmdrSlander, it is threaded on. Looks built in though doesn't it? The guys at Phoenix custom rifles do great work, even matched the color of my already existing cerakote.
