Haven't seen a decent one for under $900 for quite a while. Saw a nickle 4" .38 in Cabela's on Saturday with box in their gun library and they wanted $1,400+.

I have a Blue Colt diamond back on consignment at Elk Castle gun shop Fort Worth TEXAS.
817 246 4622 . Asking $850 but wil take $800

Saw a 4" blue .22 Diamondback at a Kansas gun show recently, asking price was $1300. I have a 6", the guy said they were a bit less valuable. I don't know whether his price was fair, as I don't think I've seen one for sale for a long, long time.

For pricing, browse completed auctions at GunBroker. Should be pretty easy to see what they have sold for in the last few months. Caliber is very important; the 22's sell for more than the 38spls. They are just less common and tend to be more sought after by the folks that like Diamondbacks.

Ok, I see all this talk about them, my grandfather just gave me a bunch of old guns he had. only 2 of which are in nice condition, he did tell me this was more of a rare one:
From what I can tell, its Unfired, the short barrel, chambered in .22LR, no scratches or wear, but no box or no papers, what would something like this be worth?

the serial # puts it manufactured between 1969-1970.

I had a chance to buy one years ago at a gun show for $350. Condition was near perfect, but I thought the price was much more than I was willing to pay at that time (around 1985). Now I wish I had bought a hundred of them and waited for today's rediculous prices. (Yeah, I know...I could have taken the same money and invested in a hundred other things and made more money, but I think you get my general point.)

That snub .22 wirth out the factory grips or box and papers is worth a QUICK $900. And the 6" .22 mentioned before is rarer than a 4" and the 2.5" .22 is rarest lenght, other than a weird 3" or something freakish.
