I’ve seen these for $169 before, but currently you can get them for $189. It all depends on how much you want it. For me I Have never had a desire for a Taurus auto so, even with it being NIB I would say it’s only worth $150 at the most. I would suggest to him to offload it somewhere where he might be able to get closer to $200.
FYI Taurus is dropping it's lifetime warranty on new models. Hence the reason for the existence of the G2"C". The G2 has a lifetime warranty, the G2C has a one year warranty. They seem to be making slight modifications to many of their models and renaming them.
"The Taurus Unlimited Lifetime Repair Policy extends to all Taurus USA firearm models in production prior to January 1, 2017."
As far as the value, the owner had the option of a replacement G2 or $200. My offer would be no more that $200.
