What would you all call a fair price on an AR-10? There is a new Armalite for sale locally, 20 inch barrel, green stock, flat top.

    What is fair for it?

Fair is what you are willing to pay to have it. How long has the dealer had it? Did he buy it directly from Armalite or did he have to buy it from an Armalite dealer? That would give you an idea of his cost and if what he is charging is fair or can he reduce it more. As to market value, what model number is it? Is it an 10A2 or a 10A4F?

maybe.... $1300 to $1500 nowadays, paid $1020 about a year and a half ago but that was then.

Match trigger? That adds about another $100. Also is it coming with the scope mount? Some AR-10 flattops from Armalite shipped with them (mine did), that adds another $80-$100.

Looked at one at the gun show 2 weeks ago, 24" SS barrel, black furniture, flat top, didn't check out the exact options, no carry handle or scope mount. Price was 1350.00. Seemed reasonable to me.

Seen the same basic gun for $1300 or so here. Price it at Buds, figure in FFL Fees, make a determination on if any price difference is worth any perceived service with a smile or hassle of doing a transfer.

Was this an Armalite? The reason I ask is that I think if it was an an Armalite that could be an AR-10t which usually goes for a bit higher and 1350 would a good price. If a DPMS then 1350 sounds about right.

But prices right now are a moving target.

Yes it was. Main reason I was looking at it was to see the difference between it and a DPMS.

I think (IMHO) that they're starting to get back (price wise) where they were back then, maybe a little higher. Ammo has been dropping too. :) Now... if I could only find some 380!!!!!:banghead:

The price was $1350 for the rifle, no sights, 2 mags, out the door. I'm just trying to figure if I should wait or jump on it. They've got all their stuff marked up 15% store wide, and they don't come down on new items; price you see is what you pay.

This is also the first time in a year they've had one in stock that's stayed on the shelf.
