One of my shooting buddies has a special limited edition SSR-99 AK style rifle made by Arsenal USA.

It was a limited edition production run of only 500, with his being #487.

I've shot it a few times, and it's a lot of fun. BUT, after firing my Bushy AR, he first sold a Mini-14 he had and bought a 20" post-ban AR.

Now he's rethinking his AK, and again he's admiring my pre-ban baby. I think he's considering selling his AK to fund (at least partially) a pre-ban AR...

Though I will suggest that he wait to see how things go with the AWB, I'd still like to find out for him what his rifle is worth these days, to give him a figure to look at. I figure that, if the AWB goes away, that does NOTHING to the value of his SSR, while it will drop the price of an $1800 pre-ban AR down to about $1000 - $1200 for a new post-post ban rifle.

And before anyone tells me to tell him to just keep it, his AK hasn't gone to the range ONCE since he bought his AR. It's the only rifle he takes along now, and he has stated several times that he likes everything about the AR better than the AK (grips, safety, mags, etc).

He's also big on "cross-functionality", so having 2 rifles that take the same mags and ammo would be like Candyland to him.

    Thanks for looking.

Used, it should be worth about $850-$900. I would put it up on AK-47.net for $900 and go from there.
