Price Check: P7M8

I'm looking for a NIB, LNIB, or damn close P7M8. I'm military deployed and can't access GunBroker on our network here. My uncle is an FFL holder and will most likely make the transaction for me, I'm just interested in how much I should expect to spend.

I also may consider excellent condition P7M8's that have been refinished in either Hard Chrome or Robar NP3.

I have a P7M8 that was bought new several years back, prior to HK discontinuing this EXCELLENT pistol. I paid more than I wanted but the dealer knew they were scarce and stood with his price of more than $1,200.00. But I had to have it and do.
I sent about half a dozen magazines down range and was amazed at the accuracy. I cleaned it thoroughly, oiled it lightly, placed it back in the case it came is and put it away. I have been offered as much as $1,600.00 bucks from a few that have seen it, amazed at its "CHERRY" condition. BUT I still have it. I might let it go if offered $2,000.00 BUT I'm being a bit overboard since I want to hang on to this fine firearm because they will only go up in value as time passes, I'm being overly picky with the price I'll accept.
I'm looking for a used one for spare parts just in case and it need NOT be NIB and have seen them range from 600 to well over 1400 NOT NIB.
So for a NIB or close I would think you should expect to see prices begin at 1200 and up.

I sold an old NJ State M8 on GB about a month ago for 1050 in box.

A LNIB one will get 1200 or more. NIB maybe up to 1500. NIB is where price gets funny with demand bubbles and certain markings.

there's a guy over on Sigforum who lives up in Seattle WA who just picked up a LNIB M8 for $750...it had been sitting in the store for a couple of months at about $900 and they had just marked it down.

a common price is about $1200. the <$600 LE trade-in PSP models had a little effect on their price

I paid 800 for mine about a year ago. The people at the store didn't know the difference between a P7 "PSP" and the P7M8. Some guy traded it in on something else. The gun is from 1986 so I wouldn't be suprised if the guy trading it in was the original owner.
