As long as you are not loading your charges right at the specified maximums for the powder, Magnum primers won't cause any troubles (and even at maximums there is a safety factor). They are a little hotter than standard but as pointed out before, Winchester large pistol primers are for Magnum or standard loads and are thus about a Magnum primer in themselves. I have used Mag primers in my ,45's and noticed no difference, however, YMMV, the rule of thumb is change a component materially and rework the loads.

On a scale of 1-10, ten being "everybody should have one" I rate my P220 as a solid 9.5 just because if everyone had one it would be boring. Nicest shooting .45 I've owned or shot.
