hey guys
i posted last wek about having problems with cases jamming on 223

i got a ar sizer die (small base), loaded 125 rounds and they ran flawlesy

Most excellent. Did you get a case gauge as well, or did you already have one? I don't remember.

i did have a case gage before, and all i checked showed good but still had problems,
i chaecked all these as i sized

i must hae a tight chamber

Good to hear your problem is solved.

Yes, once in a while it takes a small base die to let the case chamber. Frequently from my experience is when a case was previously fired in a different rifle. But sometimes it is just an accumulation of tolerances between the die and chamber will cause problems and changing re-size die is the solution.

Case gauges are useful tools but they are cut generously in the body area so a case can fit the gauge but not chamber in your rifle. The commonly available bottle neck case gauges such as Dillon or Wilson only measure shoulder position and over all case length.
