Problem with FFL Transfer

I actually know Mike. We both shoot at the same Club. I tried calling him and couldn't get a hold of him.

I called Bud's today and they said for $11 they can contact UPS and change the destination of the package. So, I'm going to have them do that to the FFL I've always dealt with.

Don't blame the FFL, blame NYS that doesn't think his FEDERAL license is enough, and makes him get a NYS licence just to drain some money from him.

An no, he doesn't know when it's coming because the STATE won't tell him.

We have a similar situation here in SC, but ours is purely a money grab as there is actually very little extra legislation you have to deal with.

He must have a valid FFL or Bud's wouldn't have shipped. If the shop told you no problem then backpeddled after you already committed to Bud's, I'd say they should make it right for you. I'm sure that you will be out some funds if the gun was shipped back to Bud's, if I wasn't in a hurry to get the gun home I'd potentially ask the shop to hold the gun until they can legally transfer it, oh by the way throw in a free transfer or a gift card, some kind of comp. If none of that is possible, then I'd request they transfer to another FFL that can transfer it to you legally. Not sure if you can do anything in small claims court if all you have are verbal agreements, unless you can prove that they forwarded their FFL to Bud's because of your purchase?
