I'm having a problem with rounds not cycling another round in the chamber. I called Dillion Precision and was advised that the issue sounds like my OAL is to large. I'm using Lyman's 48th Edition where the OAL is 1.610.

My question is, what OAL do you use for your DE .44?

solution

The problem is not the powder. That would only affect, pulling the trigger and the round not discharging. Using dummy rounds, last night I changed to OAL from 1.610 to 1.580. Guess what they chambered perfectly. As far as the powder amount, I'm usingn 24.5 gr of H-110.

I recently went shooting with a friend who has the DE 44mag.
I handed him a few rounds of my 44 loaded with 7gr. of unique.
The gun didn't cycle because of the reduced load, but of course it works just fine in my revolver.
