I have had my Kahr CW40 for some time now and over 1k rounds through it. It has functioned great. I thought I was half way decent with it up til I bought a Springfield XD9SC. At 10 yards i can shoot the 10 ring out of a small silhouette with the XD9 but with the Kahr I have always and still do shoot it to the left by about 3 inches. Is there something about the Kahr sights that make it different when sighting it in? I can aim a bit to the right and hit the bullseye with the CW but would rather not get into this practice.

Now my question is this. Should I still practice, practice, practice with the Kahr or I am really thinking of having the rear sight drifted. What would be the best thing to do in this situation. What would you do?

If you're shooting to the left then why not just adjust the sights properly to make it shoot center??

EDIT:Wait nevermind I think....is the rear sight on CW series not adjustable?

They say the rear sight is "drift adjustable" so this is what I was thinking of having done.

It could be a case of shooting grip inconsistency. It's pretty difficult to hold two different guns the same exact way. Perhaps the XD fits your hand better and thus results in more proper technique.

Try the Kahr in a vice or on a bench rest to determine if it is indeed the gun or if it's you.
