How is the Prvi Partizan ammo? It is cheaper than almost anything else and I need to feed my new-to-me Swedish Mauser. How does it compare to the more expensive offerings from Norma, Wolf, Federal, Remington, etc? My main concern is plinking only, but I do want something reasonably accurate.

I have used the Prvi Partizan (here in Australia its called Highland Ammo) and it shoots pretty good in my and my fathers couple of Swedes but that doesn't mean it will in yours. Your rifle my not even like some American made ammo, unfortunately paying more for ammo doesn't mean your rifle will like it more (its a shoot and see thing).

I got a box of another brand, the Federal 6.5 x 55 140 gr SP in the blue box. It was 1.5 inch grp at 100 yds on sandbag rest. I also got some Priv Partizan as mentioned and only tried them at 15 yds indoor range. They were not very accurate but this was two yrs ago. After that i bought Barnes Copper Solvent and cleaned it. Lots of bluish discoloration so maybe it may improved . I got to try it next time.

Price does not equal accuracy. Privi ammo has been good to me in the calibers I shoot. The brass is as good as any out there for reloading. It all depends if your rifle likes it or not......chris3

My rifles and pistols (none in 6.5x55) seem to like Prvi Partisan and it's proved accurate for me. But YMMV depending on whether your gun likes it or not. I've had good experience with it though.

I've used it in 7.5 Swiss and just ordered 200 in 6.5x55. Decent brass, head diameter is supposed to be closer to spec in 6.5 than is most US ammo.

BTW, AmmunitionToGo.com now, and most times, has better pricing than Midway. They've only got softpoint now but had FMJ last week.
