Anyone know where I can get a Pennsylvania State Police Beretta 96D Brigadier gun? I've been looking everywhere but can't find them. Supposedly the PSP got rid of 5,000 of them and replaced them with Glocks. Am willing to pay top dollar if need be.

Ironic that I found your inquiry while surfing the web. :) I am a PSP Trooper in the process of selling my PSP Beretta 96D Brigadier Pistol. It is in very good condition. I can send you digital photos if you would like to view it. I am in the process of selling it to a local collector within the next few weeks, but I would certainly be interested in selling it to you if your offer was higher. If you have not yet found one, let me know what price you would be interested in paying for mine. Thanks for your interest.

PSP Beretta 96D reply

Thank you for your quick response, I am definitely interested. Send me an email at [email protected]. It's a generic email that I set up, so it might take a couple of days for me to actually read the email. The pictures would definitely be appreciated. If you wouldn't mind, please post a reply on here when you send the email. For some reason I can check this website at work but Yahoo email is blocked.

Rguns.net-Beretta 96D .40S&W Brigader models

I bought a NIB model 96D with 3 11rd mags from www.rguns.net . These were stock Beretta 96D(no Robar NP3 plate work) .40 pistols from a Sheriff's Dept in TN. These 96D pistols do have the newer type Trijicon night sights :D. Rguns.net sells them in the Beretta police special box for $475.00 USD. I had my 96D plated with black oxide and NP3. Robar put the Rogard coating on the 96D frame. It was a nice matte black color but gets nicks and marks to easy, :(. If I get another Beretta 96D Brigader I'd get it done entirely with NP3. I had a PA Fish Commission surplus 96D that I bought brand new for only $580.00 USD. That was in 1997. Ah the good old days, ;).

PS: It's sad to see PA LEOs going with the Glock. :uhoh: I hope they use the .357sig and get NY-1 triggers at least. The HK P-2000 LEM or SIG DAK P-226 models would have made more sense. The RI state police switched from the .40S&W 96Ds to the SIG DAK model P-226s.
