For those who aren't afraid of Taurus and are looking for a 1911 in 9mm, there is good news. I stopped in at my local GS today and asked him to look on the internet at his distributors to see if the PT1911 in 9mm is even listed yet. It was. They had none in stock but at least the distributors are listing it. Very encouraging. Keep your eyes peeled. ;)

I don't know for a fact, but I'm assuming that it will look just like the .45.

    wbwanzer,

Bud's has had a Taurus 1911/9mm on their website for over a year and is still not available. I wouldn't hold my breath.

    schmeky,

I'm not sure what to think. I actually called Taurus a few weeks ago and was told they wouldn't be out until the end of the year. But then a fellow over on the Taurusarmed forum says that he called them also and was told they were available now. Taurus' ad in the latest American Rifleman mentions 9mm as a PT1911 caliber when a month or two ago they didn't show that. So I'm thinking it's getting closer, but maybe not as close as I'd like to think.
