I bought an EoTech sight from DPMS at a gun show in March. There was some glitch with my credit card--it came back reading "error," so I used a different card. I got my statements and both cards were charged. I called DPMS and they were great about it. Even though they didn't get paid from the card that didn't work and the card company charged me anyway, they are refunding my money and taking on the credit-card issuer themselves. Carter, the fellow who helped me, couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful. I've run multiple thousands of rounds through my DPMS without a problem so I don't expect any trouble, but if something ever does happen, I feel better knowing what kind of service I can expect.

+1 on DPMS. They treated me well also. Good bunch of guys and a good product. I buy from them whenever I can now.

So you got the EOTECH for free?

If so I think my next AR build is gonna be a DPMS.

Nope, didn't get it for free. It was something like $308 including tax. I paid $100 cash and put the rest on a credit card. I hated to do that--I almost never use credit cards--but the price was right and it would be awhile until the next gun show. I tried to run my main card through, which I hadn't used since before Thanksgiving. It had plenty of room but kept showing up as an error. It was embarrassing. Finally I used a different card, signed my slip, and got my sight. Later I charged some ammo on the first card just to see if it would work.

I got my statement last month and there was a $208 charge on the card that had a signed slip, but there was also a $208 charge on the card that wouldn't work. It was the credit-card company's screw up, but DPMS was great helping me solve the problem.

My wife caught the extra charge when she was inspecting my statements and she was certain the company was shady and trying to rip me off. Their terrific service had the added advantage of proving her wrong. One small victory in the battle of the sexes.

The only AR I own is a DPMS. After this it will likely be the only company I ever buy an AR from.

Please don't tell us it was a 512 (I paid about $350 for mine) ... But hope you like your EOTech as much as I like mine (I regard the HWS as probably the most practical AR sight in existence).
