Went to the LGS a few weeks ago and someone had placed a 6" stainless python (early 80s I believe) on consignment. Well. After going back and looking at it more times then I am willing to admit to. It came home with me. The grips are original, and in great shape except for the varnish/laquer is largely worn. So thoughts.. should I refinish the grips and risk the value loss or just buy aftermarket ones and stick these in the box? Anyone know how much of a hit it really take? This will be a regular shooter for me. Not some safe queen.
