Any one else out there have their colt mooncliped? I had Dave Hearth Set up to make moonclips for the colt a few years ago for my ICORE guns and have never gone back to using S&W in competition since then. I was just wondering if any body else has tried this mod and if so what do you think of it? I love it.

Sorry Joseph, was hoping to see your Colt Python, I don't have a python...

(However, if anyone wants to donate one to me.... ;) )

Sounds like a nice setup anyways, sounds like you have a great gun with a great setup for yourself...

Took me two S&W .357s mutilated before I caught on that moon clips were for .45s.
He's not getting his hands on my Colts.

Considering what Pythons bring today, I would not make any permanent alterations to one.

But, if you never, ever - not even in a million years - plan to let go of a particular firearm, I say customize it to suit your needs/desires. I think the 'clipped Python sounds cool! Someday I would like to have a snake gun of my own, and I do love moon clips!

Can you tell us what you didn't like? Are the .357 rounds too loose & wobbly in a moonclip?

There is a guy that shoots in my club that clipped a 6 shot 686. He is very fast with it and gets oooh's and ahhh's. His only verbal complaint was the price of the clips. They are quite flimsy compared to the 45's though
