I'm still seriously considering Arizona as my next move, but don't know enough about the gun-rights situation there. I know they have open-carry, and have strong pro-gun declaration in their state constitution, and state pre-emption, etc.
But what does the future look like for this state? Is it becoming more like California, where everything is anti-gun? Or Texas, where there are a lot of rules, but still pro-gun? If the former, how long do residents anticipate being able to hold back the anti-gunners? I know this is subjective, but I have no impression as to how rapidly the anti-gunners are influencing state politics.
I would imagine being a mecca for year-round golfing, lots of tourism, etc...doesn't necessarily bode well for gun-rights because of the large influx of outsiders.
Are there any groups that send out alerts to their members that would give me a view of what anti-gunners are trying to do in the state, and how successful pro-gun people have been so far?
To me, Arizona seems like a great place to live...but doesn't scream out "liberty" like Wyoming, Montanta, etc.
Thanks.
