I'm still seriously considering Arizona as my next move, but don't know enough about the gun-rights situation there. I know they have open-carry, and have strong pro-gun declaration in their state constitution, and state pre-emption, etc.

But what does the future look like for this state? Is it becoming more like California, where everything is anti-gun? Or Texas, where there are a lot of rules, but still pro-gun? If the former, how long do residents anticipate being able to hold back the anti-gunners? I know this is subjective, but I have no impression as to how rapidly the anti-gunners are influencing state politics.

I would imagine being a mecca for year-round golfing, lots of tourism, etc...doesn't necessarily bode well for gun-rights because of the large influx of outsiders.

Are there any groups that send out alerts to their members that would give me a view of what anti-gunners are trying to do in the state, and how successful pro-gun people have been so far?

To me, Arizona seems like a great place to live...but doesn't scream out "liberty" like Wyoming, Montanta, etc.

Thanks.

So far it looks GREAT.

AZ gun laws are great we got a D from the Brady bunch.

Gun shows are constitutional rights.

Arizona allows open carry

There is no 7 day wanting time on pistols.

It's easy to get a CCW.

Also all the evil guns are legal and so are Full auto.

NO ,we are nothing like California:D

The anti-gunners have NO real power in AZ. :neener:

Not sure, but the AZ congress plays fair .We don't realy need to worry about "back door bills". Also the last 2 gun bills have help the pro-gun people.

Arizona is becoming more like California every year. Look at the govenor. She was very anti-ccw when it fist came out years ago. She isnt a ral friend to pro-gun groups. That being said. It is still a VERY pro-gun state. I cant wait to move back two years from now.

Jeeper, it's ashame to hear about the governor. Hopefully with people like you moving back, and people like me moving in, we can get somebody more favorable into office.

Jeeper

You are right, But she has not start the BS that Davis did in CA.

So far she is leaving the gun people alone and she also sighed a few pro-gun laws.

Let hope it stays that way.
