Is there any large pieces of public land in Texas available for decent Quail hunting. I was planning a trip to visit someone there this winter. Unfortunately they don't hunt and are unaware of the possible hunting areas. I will be in the southern part of Texas. Thanks

Do a Google search for "Texas Parks & Wildlife Department" and you'll find a website from which you can get the rules/regs book. There is also a Public Lands book which gives full info.

Quail season runs through the end of February.
