I am in search of some 9mm ammo in case quantity. "Military Grade" might be a good description? FMJ or JHP.

    124gr preferred, 115gr acceptable

Warm or hot on the velocity (NATO spec or even +P or +P+ would be good but a healthy 'standard pressure' would be acceptable, nothing anemic).

    Accurate.

Sealed primers and case mouth preferred.

Bi-metal jacket acceptable, crimped primers acceptable. Must be brass case.

    Absolutely no Winchester.

Expecting price above the typical bulk range fodder like Blazer/AE/Lawman but less than premium JHP such as HST/Gold Dot/etc.

The closest I have on hand right now is some 115gr IMI FMJ and RWS Geco 124gr (don't think those primers are sealed), but for both I don't have a lot left and I haven't found more.

These are my current to contenders:

Federal 9BPLE. 115gr +P+ JHP, reliable, accurate, clean, hot. I don't think the primers are sealed and I'd rather a 124gr but this is good stuff at a good price. $275/1k. https://www.targetsportsusa.com/fed...ain-p-jacketed-hollow-point-9bple-p-3012.aspx

PPU 124gr NATO, listed as m882 equivalent, sealed primers and case mouth. AvaiAvail at SGAmmo.

I know 9BPLE is good, not the preferred bullet weight and no sealant but certainly hot enough and accurate and reliable. Little expensive. The PPU NATO is as low as $200/1k shipped ($75+ below 9BPLE) and has sealed primers + tar sealed case mouth.

What else should so be looking at?

If it wasn't for wanting it hotter and or sealed I'd just get speer lawman

Edit: i realize now this thread title is poor

For me Winchester is into fool me once, shame on you, fool me 8 more times... Territory. They don't deserve my money any more. Fortunately we have tons of choices

I bought some Turkish NATO rounds at Walmart several years ago. It was really good ammo that was cheap. I should have bought more. I can't remember the brand, but I'm sure you can google it.

I’ve had mixed luck with Winchester NATO and lately it seems their primers are without the red sealant. Overall to me it’s “B” rated ammo.

The MEN is a bit better overall.

Years ago I bought S+B wasn't bad for the price, used to be brass case, boxer primed, sealed primers and bullets.
May have changed since the last time i bought it though, pretty much reload all my 9X19 except SD Ammo.
For the SD stuff Target Sports USA has good prices on "LE" Gold Dots
    $22/box of 50.
In town my LGS wants ~$25 for a box of 25.

Based on what you're describing, I would second the MEN ammo if you can find it. Also, the S&B white box.

Also- do your best to hunt down:
    Yavex (it's a Turkish brand)

A little while back, I came across some at a good price, tried a couple boxes, and then bought several cases of both 115 and 124 gr (basically, I bought everything I could find at the time).
Brass case FMJ, green lacquer sealed primer and case. Consistent and hot. Pretty sure they specifically advertise NATO-spec, although it isn't on the box. I would say they at least approach +P level. As of now, it is the only brand that I can actually recognize blindly, simply by firing some off in a magazine. Sharp white fireball, little bit more pronounced 'boom' than most other factory ammo. I feed it through my CZ 75, Beretta 92FS, and P226, and those guns seem to love it.

I just got an email saying Selway has it back in stock.

I'd try to find some of the IMI 124gr ball ammo.

I have never had a bad round of sealed, crimped-primer Winchester Nato 124 grain. In fact, it is absolutely the most consistently accurate load out of my Glock 17 and Steyr L9- A1.

I am sitting on a case of IMI Samson 124 fmj. Haven't see it around for a long time.

    But as always, YMMV.

That has been a consideration but doesn't have primer sealant, it doesn't claim to be NATO spec or higher pressure and velocity tests I found on YouTube show it as not being particularly warm. Supposedly clean, accurate, consistent though which is great.

Yeah, I think that was zqi. I got almost none, should have got more.

The Q4318 has the red sealant and the 150 round packs of "NATO" at Walmart do not appear to have sealant (and I just don't like Winchester, maybe I've just had horrible luck by chance with them, but not interested in more...though I do have some Q4318 maybe after I run through it I'll change my mind?) I bought the "NATO" at Walmart recently, shot 150 round box, it was dirty as all hell and I had a FTFire in a Glock.

S&B is good, I remember them all having sealant and being good ammo. I'll have to reconsider them based on what I find.

I'll reconsider the MEN based on reports of clean, reliable, consistent.

I'd love that. Any idea where to find it though??

I do have 1k of the Q4318, never fired any of it, boxes make it seem identical to the Walmart stuff which I won't buy more of, but I will run some and see (boxes make them seem identical but the Q4318 does have the red sealant while hte other doesn't so clearly they aren't identical)

The video on SG Ammo says MEN 9B is boxer primer and sealed primer (not crimped) and bullet.

The Germans are infamous for quality control and over enginering things. You have me interested in getting a case of it to try now.

By golly it does say sealed primer and bullet, I missed that last time, guess I was just too focused on finding velocities at the time.

    I'm leaning towards MEN

    And PPU NATO

    Annnnnnd it's gone. Sold out.

Midway has it but the price + shipping is about what I'd pay for Federal 9BPLE at target sports, and I'd rather have the 9BPLE at that point

Ah yeah I knew I had seen it elsewhere. But not interested in $320/1k when I could get 9BPLE for $275/1k, or noticeably more rounds of Prvi NATO or MEN for that price.

There are enough 124gr options in stock I am no longer considering any 115gr unless I also grab some 9BPLE

I still have a case plus of a FC Federal Cartridge over run from the late 1990s.
I do like S&B best for range shooting. I've gone thru thousands of round without a problem.

Prvi Partizan PPU has always worked well for me in ANY caliber I have tried.

I ordered some of that Prvi 124gr NATO. They are a major, longstanding manufacturer and I too have fired their ammo from quite a few cartridges, yet to be disappointed. They have some generic 9mm in blue boxes, not the "NATO" stuff, that's a bit dirty and kind of weak, but I've shot a good bit of it and it all ran 100% and was fairly accurate. I have some of their .357 Sig, 125gr FMJ, rated at 1,541 FPS (!) and I believe it, the stuff is freaking hot. Their 5.56 NATO rounds are great and their 75gr BTHP .223 is a great, reliable, consistent, accurate round for the price going back years too. Lots of others I've had too. Just an overall great ammunition manufacturer IME.

I'm tempted to get some MEN too though.

The Yavex currently at Selway is the 115 gr. I've found the 124 gr in the past, scooped up 2 cases at Bud's when they cleared it (and their cases are 1450 rd, not 1K). The Yavex at Selway is 115 gr FMJ w/ sealed case and primer.
The stuff I have in both 115 and 124 is the hottest loads not specifically labelled +P that I've shot; the other day at the range, someone thought I was shooting a larger caliber than 9mm due to the fireball and bang. I think they are selling it $99 for 500 rds.

On a lark I looked up Yavex on Target Sports USA. They have it...in stock. Ammo Prime price is $9.19/50 or $183.82/1k, both free shipping. Midway USA has the info up from a previous one time offer. There are close to 20 reviews on those sites an elsewhere I have found now and they all agree with you...it's hot! In fact, the only non-5 star review at Midway said it was too hot, claiming it was uncomfortable lol

You sold me. I'm going to order some from target sports...along with a little 9BPLE
