i got a 922 question. for the compliance on an AK patern rifle.

USA marked
FCG is worth 3
pistol grip is 1,
stock is 1,
(2)handguards are 1
and a slant muzzle break is 1 correct?

that would well fufill my 922 requierments correct?

havnt started anything yet, but the Romanian ( most common parts kits) wood isnt very pretty, neither is the pistol grip hand guards, obviously need a FCG, and pistol grip and muzzle break are just things id want to change anyway.

anyone know of any problems with tapco parts? are redstar better?

anyone know where to get US made wood stocks?

You look good on the 922r compliance, especially with a US made receiver (as CypherNinja pointed out). Just be sure you have only 10 imported parts.

Wood will cost you. I only have one link to offer since my hard-drive crashed and needed reformatting  : www.gripsnstocks.com

They're really sweet looking, though, and worth the cash if wood is a must for you. Polymer can be found just about anywhere. I like the US made stocks from K-Var, myself, but would stay well away from stocksets from Tapco...

The Tapco FCG packages are fine, though Redstar does have the adjustables, and I've heard they're nice.

WinchesterAA, as far as I can tell, the Feds generally waive charges in the cases where non-compliance firearms are seized because the owner is generally facing far more serious charges such as drug possession, armed robbery, or murder.

I know of local law enforcement seizures where BATFE was called in to inspect firearms for possible conversion to full automatic but my cop friends have never mentioned an incident where they arrested somebody or added charges because that person had a pistol grip on a MAK 90.

Just the same I added US made Bulgarian type Polymar furniture to my Maadi sport rifle and I also installed US made internal trigger parts and a USA made gas piston to be safe and because they are far better quality parts than the original Egyptian parts.

Opinion of TAPCO FCG.

I have a TAPCO G2 single hook in my Romanian-kit build. No need to the adjust able. Trigger is creepy with a definate felt breaking point, similar to every m-16 I was issued. But overall it is very smooth, 4 pound pull. Very easy to install and remove for cleaning.

yup US made reciever was a given.

since im MA il have to grind off the bayonet lug  that also means no folding/collapsable stocks.
