I need to trasnport my handgun to the range tomorrow, and can't seem to find the pad locks I typically use to lock the case. (Well, I can find the lock but not the key. 
)
I'll be using the cablelock I have on had, but is it okay to leave the firearm "in battery" for any length of time like that?
Its a S&W Model 59, and state law requires the gun be locked and in the trunk. No I don't have my CHL yet.
