Hi gang... So, in all of my infinite wisdome I figure I would setup my DPMS Oracle with my Yukon G1 NVRS for nightime coyote hunting and my M&P 15 for daytime hunting/everything else...

Well... I hate being locked into a night time only gun.

I had a red dot sight on my DPMS before I put the NVRS on... it was zeroed in and I was happy with the performance.

Can I switch back and forth between the two and expect to maintain zero? The NVRS would be a PITA as I would need to re-zero it at night if thats the case.

That would depend on many factors, including the mount itself. In reality, no one can tell you this as simply as a "yes" or "no". You'll have to swap the optics and actually test to ssee if they hold zero or not.

I run an Aimpoint micro mount from ADM on one of my rifles.

It returns to zero reliably as long as you mount it the same way, in the same T slot, each time.

I never really paid much attention to the T-Slots... I will have to re-zero with the red dot, mark the mounting location and do the same with the NVRS....
