Does anyone think we should have a sub folder or whatever for stories of people using guns in personal defense situations? I love ot read them and use them to show to friends but I hate having to crawl around and look for them wherever they may be on the forum. Maybe I missed something?

It could be a good idea I think.

    YES that IS helpful :D

Do you happen to remember though that story of the woman who was assaulted at home by a criminal and she had a little .22 and she kept shooting him and he was trying to get the gun from her but he couldnt get it out of her hand? I need that story for a girl I know who insists that the reason its better not for her to have a gun is because it will be used against her. :banghead:

I remember that story, but I have no idea where to find it. Elderly lady, and the paramedic responding almost had to break her hand to get the pistol out. Talk about a deathgrip.

Self-fulfilling prophecy. If she believes it will be taken and used against her, it will. Weapons retention is a function of mindset and training.

If it is so easy for an attacker to take your gun away from you, then it must also be easy for you to take the attacker's gun away from them. So if they take it from you, simply take it back.
