Hello Everyone,

Do Vltor's rifle stocks (i.e., non-collapable) in the A-2 length and Clubfoot configuration have a trapdoor compartment in the stock to store a cleaning kit?

If yes, will it hold the standard size cleaning kit?

If not, is there a replacement stock that will store both a cleaning kit and a sizeable number of CR-123A lithium batteries?

Thank you for your time and attention.

I don't believe the rifle length stocks have a trapdoor compartment. They do have the looooong battery tubes though. I recently sold my vltor carbine stock because I don't use a battery-powered optic and they look a little silly IMO. The standard A2 or carbine stock works well for me so I'm probably not the target market.

There is no trapdoor per se in the Vltor fixed length stock. It slides over the buffer tube. You need the buffer tube for the AR type rifles to operate. There is a pistol grip kit that is made by Otis that fits in the pistol grip. It has a pull through and it may be able to fit in the Vltor battery tube if you have a different type of pistol grip other than USGI. The Vltor stock will hold the CR123 batteries but I'm not sure if it will fit a GI type sectioned cleaning rod or not in the side tubes, I'll have to check.

The tube that Vltor makes for the AK 47 has a removable cap to store stuff in but this won't work on a AR.
