I have a Beretta 92 FS that does not have night sights. Can the front sight be machined off to allow the installation of a night sight, or will I have to change the entire slide?

yes, you can send just your slide out to a number of places that will do it for a reasonable price.
its a very common thing. Ive seen Shipwreck's threads over on the Beretta forum where he has had it done many times on many 92's.

They don't machine it off. They drill it out, and place a tritium vial into the hole. My 92G has night sights installed this way.
Here's a site that can do the work. http://tooltechgunsight.com/page20.html

Correct - ya send it to Tooltech. I've had 2 slides done in the past month. And, one of my 92s has factory night sights... Tooltech does it for Beretta.

New rear sight - and they drill the front sight and insert tritium. Great sights!

$150 + $1750 shipping. $167.50 total

I dont know why, but I thought this thread was titles "One Night Stand with a Barretta 92"

Maybe it's the Jeramiah Weed Bourbon i've been drinking....
