I am selling a couple of guns and this guy from Canada wants to buy one. I questioned if it was legal to do this from one country to another and this was his reply.

"well, like I said, I am ready to give you a price that you deam fair for your time and trouble to take the barrel/slide off of the gun and shipping 2 seperate packages to me........some advice :
ship them with some other persons name and address as the sender and in the decleration papers just mark motorcycle parts sold on ebay!!
also, dont pay with your visa as they can trace it......just use cash!!
I will pay you via paypal with my visa so the funds are in your account instantaniously.......no ands iff or butts........I will also pay the 3% fee that they charge you
if anyone will get in trouble it will be me.......but as far as I know it is not illegal to import gun "parts"
that is whay I need you to ship an un completed pistol"

Kinda strange don't ya think?!?!?!

I didn't say I was gonna do it!! I'm not stupid, John Kerry would make a fine president. How do you spell HONDA??? LOL. Sniff Sniff Kinda smells fishy though don't ya think?!?!?

Wait a minute maybe it was that incredibly intelligent person Michael Moore. He loves Canada so much maybe he needs it to hunt wabbits?!?! Well for him it would need to be a bigggg wabbit. Seriously John Kerry would make a fine president, he has a plan. Remember he mentioned that a few hundred times. Democrats, remember you vote on Wednesday, November 3rd!!!

Taking things apart can indeed change a rabit into a pot pie, so of course taking a pistol apart automagically changes it into motorcycle parts... ;-)

I wonder... What are the odds it's either an incredibly hormone driven teen, a reporter after an expose, or a federal (US/CN?) sting?

Lying on the customs form about the exact type or value to avoid nasty import duties - this I can understand. Often the easiest way to help them avoid duty is to send it up via US Mail.

Lying on a customs form to break some serious firearms laws (of both countries).... that's another thing entirely.
