Question on selling firearms

    I wanted to ask if a relative dies and leaves you some guns . Can you sell
    them to a local gun shop ? if they are not in your name ?

    You are in California, so you probably need to get advice specific for California. Ya'll have a bunch of wierd gun laws the rest of us don't have to deal with.

    You must "register" the concealable handguns with the CA DOJ first. After that you can do with the guns whatever you like, legal in California, which means anything you do with them involving transfer or sale must go through an FFL anyway.

    Ok Thanks , just curious does the same go for rifles ? such as 30-06

    Nope. Just the "concealable" firearms, unless you have something in a strange configuration such as a shotgun with a pistol grip, that would just be handguns.
