Question on the value of a couple wheelguns I saw...

I saw a couple of S&W wheelguns that caught my eye but was wondering what are they really worth...
1 - model 17-2 w/ 6" barrel & was in very good condition
2 - model 60-3 also in very good condition

I was thinking of offering the owner $400 for the pair -- too low? too high? just right?

I think that $400 would be low for the pair. I don't see too many 17's around, but they are normally about $400 by themselves. I would guess that the model 60 would be $250 - $350, from what I have seen around my way. I would expect California to be $100 more per revolver, if they are not on the approved list.

$400 is way low, in my way of think'in~! The S&W model 17 alone would
most likely bring that amount; and add the S&W 60-3 to it, you are look'in
at between $700-750. Of course if you can get the pair for $400, that
would be a great deal~!
