A while back I purchased a Metro Arms American Classic ll 1911 45acp and have been pleased with the pistol. Fit and finish, accuracy, etc etc

It looks like RIA ( also made in the Philippines ) marketing wise has taken over the world? They are everywhere.

    Anyone know why?

Have the importers decided to just do the RIA?

    Thanks

Metro Arms can be found at a few places yet RIA can be found pretty much everywhere. That was the original intent of the post.

I know the volume of Metro Arms, though increasing, was still very low. On one of the dedicated 1911 forums I heard Metro was pleased to increase the importation of the ACII to the tune of a thousand guns a month, so comparatively, there are not that many floating around.

then again, I heard all of this on the internet- so take that for what it is worth.

The blue commanders are out their as are the hard chrome Commanders been coming in fr several months and the hard chrome for around 3 months. .

Centerfire Systems of Versaills Ky. Has Commanders in stock.

Guns are still being brought in by Eagle Thet are the Dist Nothing changed since first started bring them in country few years back . Other than dropping the Firestorm 1st of year. In the 1911 line up . llama had hurt them and even a new pistol by new company could over come the 1911 firestorm bad rep. So Firestorm 1911 became history and the American Classic lives on.
Now have plain GI style, Up graded deluxe ,in hard chrome or blue. Trophy model .Top of line in hard chrome. Then Commander in blue and Hard chrome.
