Quick question about colt QR code, I’m sure there’s some knowledgeable guys here that can help me out.
I’ve never been able to scan my QR code on my lower(phone won’t read it), but I’ve scanned the QR code from the box that my colt m4a1 carbine was shipped to my FFL in. When I scan the QR, I get “[email protected]$(serial #)$%11042019%#”

I get the pattern here, clearly it looks like “Model-Serial Number-Date”. But why is the date 11-04-2019? That’s at least 1.5 months away, and I purchased this rifle new in July.
I wish my older colts would have had a QR on the shipping packaging so I could compare.
Does anyone know what this date means? Is it even a date? If it’s not a date, what do these numbers mean?!

Hoping some colt experts can help me out. Although I do have 4 colt rifles, I wouldn’t call myself an expert

Sometimes European style date codes read
    Day/month/year.
