Check out this article I came across on drudge reports website.

Some of you guys from Mobile may want to write this guy a letter. A Alabama resident wrote the representative a letter urging for no new gun regulation and he got a nasty response. Sorry if this has already been posted but I thought some may want to see this.

No surprise and he will be re-elected. The large cities in Alabama are no different than the large cities in other states where the "ghetto mentality" is rampant and they will elect a black crook to replace the white crooks from the past thinking that at least the black crook has their best interest in mind.
We just elected a black mayor for the first time where I live. Great guy that grew up in the 60s and 70s in rural Alabama and was a couple of years older than I was in HS. I live in the county so was unable to cast a vote(legally that is as we don't have ACORN) but I did contribute to his campaign. He played football for the Bear so he had to get my vote. He is definitely trying to help out the south side of town(read that as predominantly black and lower income) but that is fine as that side of town needs help. I have never witnessed a single racist action by the guy having known him personally for 35 years. Unless you consider him crushing me in football practice to be racist:)
This Mobile clown has his views and is apparently just stupid enough, or confident enough in his position, to state them in an email.

He is stupid. Even if he is messed up enough in the head to actually feel that way, he is still an idiot for putting that in an email. It's that kind of attitude / mentality that leads to so much oppression in the world, in one way or another. That guy has no business representing anyone.

I'd like to touch on that for a moment. How untouchable these politicians must think they are for them to rant like that in an email! He had to know that would get out. Either way, this is exactly the opposite of the type of people we need in office.

With that being said, I seriously doubt anything will happen. Worst case is he will have to apologize.

Name calling never helps anything, least of all positive communication on tough issues. *sigh*

We have made great strides, but still have a ways to travel.

As far as the 2nd Amendment goes, all gun owners need to stand together as we are facing a tremendous push from the antis right now.

Welcome to Memphis with the hood mentality that makes up most of the city and the majority of the elected govt folks.

Anyone else catch the "Prepper 70' - 13'" at the end of the rant? Did he really say that since he is well stocked with everything he needs he sees no problem with new legislation?

Jim

In the 1960s in Alabama we had plenty of "cracker" politicians that would say these types of things about blacks because they KNEW their constituents agreed. Hell, George Wallace was one of the most outspoken racist SOBs in the USA and he came back a few years later all repentant and actually won the Governorship again by carrying the black vote.
It takes all kinds I guess. I think I will send this guy an email and see what kind of response I get. I bet it won't be anything like this if he even responds.
