Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill... NC in it's entirety

Unfortunately, it looks like I won't be able to make it. A friend of mine is getting married that day- I knew it was soon, but apparently he sent my invitation to an old address or something, 'cause I just found out a couple of days ago.

Unfortunately (for me also), I may not be at the range this Saturday. I've got an IDPA class until 11PM, so I will have been on the go from 7-11 Friday... I'll see how tired I am Saturday morning. In the event I don't make it, I will definitely be there November 20th, just to give some advance notice. :(
 
My apologies for not being able to make it. I will be at the range Saturday, November 20th. A friend and I will be hitting up the gun show early (so he can get something for his Enfield), and heading straight over.
 
Well I had fun at least. I was at Range 1 today from about 11 AM until about 3 PM. Went through about 350 rds. Didn't meet anyone else from THR.

Well that stinks. Sorry to hear that. Perhaps we should try to get something together closer to home?

I would've attended, but my wife spent a few days last week in the emergency room and it left me behind at the office and at home, so I had a lot of catch-up to do. Not to mention touchy clients in Tokyo and London that had projects coming due. Sorry I couldn't make it.

I'm still willing to host an "after work hours" shoot at PDHSC if anyone is interested.

I assume you mean the Nov. 20-21 Dixie show in Raleigh. I plan on hitting that show on Saturday morning as well. I would definitely be up for hitting the range afterwards. Depending on thewhat I find and the $$$ situation I may be picking up a gun at that show, probably either another CZ-52 or a Star BM.

Are you planning on going to Range 1 that day?
 
Fantastic, we should arrange to meet up at the show. I love the Raleigh show, but a couple hours or so is plenty of time to see everything, so we should have plenty of time for shooting.
 
They open at 9AM... I think it would be best to be there no later than 10 if we're shooting afterwards.

EDIT: I think I'll add a few US-made parts to my SKS before the 20th too...

Can't wait. If all goes well I'll be leaving the gunshow with a nickel-plated Makarov, Classic Arms is supposed to be finishing it for me. I'll do a bit of inspection and lubing when we get to the range and hopefully get to try it out right away.
 
i'll be at the show as well. :) Need to get some parts for my Enfield No4 MkII and my Bulgy Mak...
Range-1 would be a great way to wrap it up!
 
YEEESSSS!!!!!! I just found this thread!!!! I might be at that gun show and would love to go to the range afterwards. I MIGHT can. I have been to that range a few times and it is pretty cool. Hope I can make it!!!! :D :D :D



BTW when do u guys leave ths show??? I leave at different times so when??? :confused: :confused:
 
Since you guys are talking about Range 1 in Bunnlevel, they've got a 3-gun Match scheduled for this Saturday. I spoke to them today and registration is 1000 and Safety Brief @ 1100 followed by the Match. More info is available on the website, www.Range-1.com, the dates are not current but 3-gun Match on 2nd Saturdays and Pistol Match on 4th Sundays.

My 922(r) parts came in today - installed them a couple hours ago :D

A muzzle brake won't put it over the 10 parts, so one is one the way (to arrive Monday). More toys for the range trip :)
 
So does that mean the range is closed to public shooting that day? I know they have a couple different ranges at Range 1, including a tactical pistol range.
Either way, we're gonna meet up at the show at 9. We might as well meet right by the entrance. I'll be the skinny white guy with short hair wearing the black Makarov T-Shirt.
 
OH NOOOOO!!!! :( Someone tell me that the range WILL be open to the public that day!!!!! Cuz I can make it now!!! :mad: I sure hope it is.


Ok I just checked thier website and I believe it said the match wuz today not next saturday. :eek:
 
Well I had a disappointing conversation with Classic Arms today, it seems the nickel Mak is not going to happen, I didn't get specifics, other than, it "just didn't work out." They will have a couple of nickel-plated CZ-52's on hand on Saturday, though.

So I'm pretty bummed. On the upside, I already had the $$$ earmarked for the Mak, so I will be gun-hunting at the show, we'll just have to see what I find.
I'll see you guys at 9am on Saturday.
