I saw this company's booth at the RKShow in KCMO last weekend. The card I got states they're out of Hillsboro, KS. They had .308 for only $17 a box of 20, so I figured what the heck and bought a box of the 168 gr they were selling.

This is by far the best ammo I've ran through my Savage 11. It shot high at first but I'm crediting that to my scope being sighted for Priv Partisan 168 gr. Once I reset my scope I was spot on for the rest of the box (3 shots just within one inch on a stock barrel and scope!). To prevent advertising (board rules), I'll limit my praise to that.

For the life of me I can't find Ram's web address or any dealers who carry it. Sans they're address I only have a phone number. Can anyone else find a website or dealer who carries Ram's .308 rounds?

Ram Ammunition Stats

Ok this Ram ammunition just starting showing up (or I just noticed it) within the last year here is Kansas (yes we are still 20 years behind the rest of the nation). Here it is; Rex Regier email is : [email protected] address 210 S Main Hillsboro KS phone 620-382-7048. The box says proudly made in the USA so they may give Bitterroot from Montana some competition! Don't bother with most your local shops (I won't drop names) in Wichita unless you want to get robbed (literally) go to cheaperthandirt.com or wait for a gun show.

Another local RAM vender

Not advertising for him but if you want to shop local, the guy to go to for RAM ammo in the El Dorado area is:

And just an FYI - RAM V-Max (poly-tip) is in my opinion, better than that put out by any other mfg. ( Incl. the one that starts with an "H")

Sorry to necropost but I found this thread while doing some Google-Fu for a post on another board about this subject. I figured I would tack it up here as well as I haven't haunted THR in quite some time.

Yes, this is excellent ammo.

I work periodically at Bullseye Indoor Shooting Range in Wichita, KS and have off and on for about 5 years now. Bullseye has carried RAM ammo even before I worked there. I have no knowledge of any issues with it outside of the .40 which is no longer loaded and have personally shot well over 10,000 rounds of the pistol ammo through all manner of pistols and even a few subguns. Most of what .45acp and 9mm but I have shot some of the .380acp, .40S&W , .38 special, .357 mag, .44mag and .45 long colt.

As far as his rifle stuff goes I've shot a little less than 2k of the .223 and 50 or so of the 7.62x39 with no issues. I know several folks who swear by the 30.06 and .308 loads.

Also RAM has done a lot of specific loadings for certain calibers. There have been specific loadings for .223 and .308 such as 55gr SP, SS109, 75gr BTHP, 168gr BTHP and I even recall a VMAX loading for the .308 as well. Approximately two years or so ago RAM was able to get prime 7.62x39 cases and loaded them with the Hornady VMAX bullets, I believe this was nearly a year before Hornady offered the load themselves. There a lot more than what I've listed.

RAM is the ammunition du jour for our rental guns at the Bullseye as we require people to fed our rentals with ammo bought from the range.

To sum it up succinctly: Me Likey. :D
