Well guys,
Edna and I have been toiling hard on our RMK 'Timeline' project, and getting the proofs back from the printer's today, we couldn't be more pleased! We think that'll you be happy too.
The following is an excerpt from an email that was sent out to potential distributors a few days back:
"We just wanted to let you know that we're finishing up a project that we've been working on for some time now, a laminated 'quad-fold' 11x17" full color reference document, titled 'Randall Made Knives, a Timeline - The Quick Reference Guide', and will be offering them for sale soon.
The end product consists of a four column text document on the front side, identifying RMK characteristics over the years, including the sheath makers, sheath rivet use, sheath snaps, sharpening stones, handle materials, spacer stock, blade steel and stamps, compasses, lanyards, lanyard holes, tang nuts, etc...including the approximate years of introduction and general usage dates, along with some clarifying text for each section mentioned.
The reverse side consists of a full-color 'spread sheet' style timeline from 1937 to 2003, sectioned down by the various characteristics, with additional text identifying the years of use for those areas of interest. Also, a reference and credit section, along with copyright info, ISBN registry number, and sales price is included on the front 'text' side as well."…
We'll be sending these off to the laminator Wednesday, and should have them back the following week, just in time for the OKCA show. The sales price will be $20+ S&H for ebay sales, $20 for forum members or through knife show/ distributors.
This timeline 'Quick Reference Guide' was originally going to just be an addendum to the RMK book we're working on, but we've decided that it has enough merit to be published as a 'stand alone' document for now. Our book should be ready for publication no later than end of summer, but we'll announce more on that later.
This isn't an offer 'for sale' yet, more of just a 'head's up', and we'll post in the approriate forum when they become available.
Thanks for your continued support guys, you're the best!
Sincerely,
Sheldon and Edna
