Random Gun Pics...let’s see how random we can make it

Opposite ends of the $$$ spectrum. My CZ EVO 1 Scorpion and my just acquired Hi Point. .380 carbine.

If you would have told me that I would own a Hi Point sometime in my life I would have  My wife of 48 years is pretty recoil sensitive and the only long gun she will shoot is my old Glenfield .22. After reading a lot of good things about the Hi Point .380 carbine including accuracy and low to non existent recoil I took a chance. She has a Shield EZ .380 and Bersa Thunder .380 so this kind of fits. Will find out when we go to the range in a couple weeks.

"Heckler & Koch vp70z". So cool! Are the triggers really as horrendous as I have read?
They are! Although mine has a Wolff trigger spring that makes it a bit more manageable—I posted a video here showing the trigger pull. I certainly only own it for its novelty value. Its contemporary polar opposite from H&K I think would be the P9S, and what makes this one a bit more random is that not only is it a less-common Target model, but it also in .45ACP.

The best $8 shotgun I could ever hope to find.

My $35 Chinese Type 53 Mosin. With a Russian M1944 replacement stock. The original Chinese wood was decrepit and parts broken off.

Lee Enfield No1 MkIII* made by BSA in 1917. FTR 1954. May have been commercially sporterized. Long eye relief shotgun scope. Shoots very good with Remington 180gr CoreLokt factory ammo.

My black powder cartridge match set up. 6.5 Carcano M38 short rifle and Mauser C96 Broomhandle.

My second-best ever 25 yard offhand target.
S&B cases, 7.92mm .312 85gr XTP bullets, 1.0cc Triple7, CCI spm primers. The barrel is so worn out that 7,63 Mauser and 7.62 Tokarev factory ammo barely stays on the paper at 25 yds, some bullets keyholed.

I do have a few really nice guns bought new or in excellent condition, but the abused orphans turn out to be more fun to work on.

OK. Not mine. USS Alabama Memorial. Still military surplus, come to think about it.

Here is about as random a gun as I’ve seen in a while...

A Harrington & Richardson M-12 target rifle with a massive 6x18 Tasco scope. These were sold by the CMP about 15 years ago. The CMP site said 15,000 were made for the military, the civilian version is the 5200. The single shot rifle has a 28” bull barrel, a heavy beechwood stock, an accessory rail under the fore-end for a palm rest, bipod or sling attachment.

It weighs a bit over 13 pounds with this Japanese Tasco scope and heavy mounting system. The Garand laying next to it is svelte in comparison...
