Random Gun Pics...let’s see how random we can make it

Finnish Suomi and Russian PPS-43.
That’s what I guessed when I saw the pic! Man those were two tough and serviceable sub guns, you’re lucky to be able to handle and fire them .

(The Gun Nazis here in Ca shout, “No guns for you! so they’re verboten here. :()

Firearms News did a large cover story a few weeks back on the Finnish KP / M44, it’s a good read. If you haven’t seen it, PM your mailing address and I’ll send it to you.

That looked like an awesome day at the range, glad you all had fun :).

Stay safe.

That Camper's Companion is really neat! Never saw one before today, let alone knew that Savage had made such a gun. It would have been perfect for me to take along whenever we went hunting for small game.

View attachment 1028763 My fathers other uncle (Tom) was issued this when he headed to Europe to fight in WWI in 1915. It's all original and two years ago I shot a fist sized group with it at 25yds. First time it had been fired since my father said he shot it in about 1957. A 1914 model 1911.
WOW! Very nice indeed .

if only those two beauties could talk and tell their stories, I bet they're fascinating ones.

You are very lucky to have that 1911. My Grandfather still had his USMC-issued .45 that he carried during WWII in his gun cabinet when I was a kid. I never got a chance to shoot it and I have no idea where it went after he passed in 1990. :(

Stay safe.

I shot the Luger(IIRC it's a 1924 date) as well the same day I shot the 1911. I decided it was "time" to exercise them both. The 1911 shot far better but both of them garnered curious looks from the "black pistol" shooters who were on the shooting line at the same time!lol! Took them home, stripped and gave them both a deep clean/oil and put them up. I'm sure my son or grandson will someday take them out and shoot them when they're approaching their 150th birthdays!
