My 1924 Ortgies. Interesting grip safety system. Once depressed it remains in fire mode until a button is pushed to place it in safe mode.

Took a good friend's future son-in-law to the range....brought a few S&Ws for him to try out. Before that day he had never shot a revolver.
L to R... 610-2, 686-4, 66-1, and a 642-1. His favorite was the 686 (shooting 38 Special).. He thought the rest were 'too harsh'..even with rubber grips instead of the wood stocks that they usually wear. He shot the 66 loaded with .357 only twice and switched to .38.
    ETA...he's hooked on 9mm

Witness Silver Team, .45 ACP, picked it up cheap at a gun show, a fun gun, but I eventually sold it.

I'm guessing before it became engulfed by whatever it was a Colt Junior/Astra Cub.

I hope it wasn't found like that in someone's sock drawer!

I know, besides having a very questionable sentence structure, I have no idea how you go about building something in the past (i.e. like our Constitution and Bill of Rights), trying to "make it better"; when there's nothing wrong with it just the way it is!

And while I'm here I should probably leave a random gun pic: My primary HD gun, a SIG P 229R with a SIG STL-900L laser/light combo.

Astra Cub is exactly what I was thinking when I took control of it as well.
