Random Gun Pics...let’s see how random we can make it

The FFL got in a Rogers & Spencer .44 percussion revolver the other day.. It looks like it hasn’t been fired too much, but it looks like the cylinder was swapped at some point. The serials match on the frame, under the barrel, on the grip frame, etc. but the serial on the cylinder doesn’t match.

I was surprised at the grip. The frame is a very close match to the Ruger Bisley shape, with the larger hump and steep back edge it felt like my new Bisley .22 (I have a 10-day wait before I can pick that up :(.) The grip has wood panels with a “bell bottomed” flare, this little touch, coupled with the shape of the grip, looks like a decent combo to help control recoil.

I am not much of a bp aficionado, but the gun was pretty cool.

Stay safe.

The gun seems to be in amazing shape for its age.

Looks like military inspection initials on the grips.

With bayonet that I purchased for a paster friend (the bayonet not the gun...lol and the bayonet was a repro)... Not the actual pic... I forgot to take one...He liked it... He got it from his dad who got it from a German who got it from a British officer in the great war... kinda neat on a revolver right.

Seven guns at once should meet one definition of random.

Having seen this around age 7 at the "51" drive-in movie, in Jackson MS (circa 1962), it's probably my favorite movie, and the soundtrack also helped. Pure adventure with car gravel-crunching in the background when we were watching..

Headsets please :) - good stereo. This film might be on Amazon Prime.
