I belong to two ranges. One is $200 a year for unlimited use, only short range (35 yds) but has three 'action' type berms you can use however you see fit so long as you are safe. Very good for IPSC/IDPA/tactical type training.

The other is a $100 membership then $5 per visit; lanes shooting out to 1000 yards and 600 yards, plus close berms for plinking and pistol.

$200. Indoor 25 yd. range, open 7 days/week. Unlimited use, includes guest priveleges, use of rental guns, targets, discount on FFL transfer fee, new guns @ $50 over dealer cost.

I belong to one club/range. 55 bucks a year. Highpower range 200,300,500, 600. Handgun about 8 bays and a 25, 50, 100, 200 practice range. This is out in the country still. Seldom a conflict for a place to shoot.

PS

They do that shotgunny thing too.

Mines an indoor with 20lanes at 50yrds. Just over a hundred bucks for unlimited and anyone I bring shoots at a discount of $4.50 a day

$175 per year for indoor range - basically pistol range only altough rimfire rifles and M1 carbines OK.

$85 per year for outdoor range - long gun (slugs only for shotgune) and pistol

My club is $500 a year, unlimited range use. In my area I consider it a bargain and would still be a member if it cost a lot more, but don't tell the club that!:D

$40 year membership. Indoor 50 foot 12 lane range 24/7 use, pistol and centerfire rifle. Outdoor--100 YD covered rifle, also 75 YD covered pistol and10 station skeet setup. Use 8AM till dark. On honor system no RO unless a large event.

$85 per year at the FOP outdoor range 3 miles away. It has a 100 yd rifle range with ten benches under a shed, and seven pistol pits that vary from 50 to 100 feet. Nice folks there, so I enjoy going. I mostly just shoot at home on the farm though.

First year is $50

They just implemented a new rule that you have to be a full member of the NRA and show your card as proof to become a member. After the first year it's $150 but you can earn points that take your fee down all the way to $50 if you help maintain the facility by mowing, manning a booth at a gun show, etc.

The local indoor range here charges $225 a year plus tax. That gives you unlimited range visits, a discount in their attached store (But not on firearms or ammunition) and discounts on gun rentals. The outdoor range near me charges $3 per hour, targets and ear/eye protection included if you need it. I don't have a membership at the indoor range, so I mostly go to the outdoor range and pay the $3.

In my experience, the more you pay the better the amenities and the less of the riff raff that make ranges unsafe.

That said though I have paid 75 at one place and 150 at another. I joined the 75 dollar one first then joined the 150 range and never went back to the other one. The effective payment of 225 for the 150 range was money well spent.

$50 per year outdoor only

$50 per year for outdoor only with covered shooting lanes.

25yd pistol, 50yd pistol
100yd rifle, 300yd rifle

Only open 8 months a year. Immediate family can accompany anytime for free or on their own with a $10 fee for an extra gate card and guests can accompany up to twice before they have to join.

Outdoor range. There is a pistol range (up to 50yd), a 100yd rifle range and a trap/skeet range. All are free to home owners of the City. Just pick up a key and go shooting. The trap/skeet is the only one that has a range manager and you have to pay for the clays that you shoot. Pretty nice setup.

local ma-and pa run range has indoor 25-yard,outdoor 100-200 yard with covered seating, pistol-plate racks, trap range, about 20-50-yd or less ranges with adjustable post mounts as close as 10-feet, can bring 1-friend free each visit otherwise 10/day,,,,, heres the best part it's only 3-miles from my house,, AND $50/year covers my whole family !!! wow !! i hope the owners dont read posts on here !! or i could stand to get hosed as bad as some others on here,,,,200-300 a year ?? that's crazy !! i do however enjoy going out of town to my buddy's farm to shoot targets other than paper,,,,, 1-gallon milk-jugs filled full with water make great 400-yd targets for my.243 as they explode when punctured at high-velocity,,, dont think they'd appreciate that at the range,,, and there is something to be said about the low-fee's,,, they seem to attract a bunch of riff-raff,,, i've had to yell down the firing line at least 4-times in the last 2-years "Whoa buddy, thats me on the end of that barrell",,,, only once did i have to report someone to range officer,,, i think he made sure they weren't welcome back

The local indoor shooting range has polymer boards that separate the bays. Does anyone know if the boards are meant to stop a powerful handgun round?
