Range Report: Beretta Stampede and CZ75BD

had a few hours to15 kill before work on Sunday and went to the range...didn't shoot at paper targets, but at the metal pistol gallery...was shooting at metal targets at about 35 yards.


couldn't hit chit with the Stampede. First time shooting her. Ammo was .38 special 130gr WWB value pack. Benchrest, Two hands, One. Couldn't hit anything with it. Recoil was negligable. Maybe the Ammo? Front Sight? seemed to be shooting a bit High....


i have probably close to 1500 rounds through the CZ, and it was a champ, as usual. Could hit the metal target 6 to 7 times out of 10.

I'm no pistolero, but any advice to improve the Stampede? Maybe file the Front Sight?

if it is shooting HIGH, i am thinking that filing the front sight will raise the poi even further...

My experience with that ammo has been dismal in the accuracy dept also. This was true both in a my 4" Smith and Marlin 1894. I suggest trying another brand before doing anything to the gun.
