You knew I could not wait long before I tried her out!
I took the newly aquired M1903A3 to the range this am to 'break it in'.
Two shots at 30 yds to check for zero: IN the 2" dot and touching!
Three at 50 yds: a good group-needed to tweak the POI to the left a little.
Target at 100 yds: I shot the BEST iron sighted group I have EVER shot (not telling you how good it was cause I think the A3 can do better but these 60 yr old eyes, bifocals and astigmatism can't).
That is ONE SLICK OPERATING AND GREAT SHOOTING piece of military history. Many an American went to war with one and WERE NOT underequipped. I would not be afraid one bit to take her deer hunting this fall--------NOW THERE'S an IDEA! Hummm.
