This baby rocked! Although I didn't do a formal paper target I did put about one hundred rounds through my new to me .45. Every round fed and shucked without a problem and hit at point of aim. I was able to hit man sized targets out to 75yds without much trouble at all. I bought the piece used and it came with night sights, Houge (non finger groove grips), 2 mags and a case. The slide is matte stainless with honest holster wear. My buddy TimboKhan ridiculed the decock lever referring to it as a "slot machine" but even he couldn't argue that it shot wonderfully. Even some dyed in the wool 1911 fans found my P220 to be remarkably easy to hit with. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I'd recommend them to anyone wanting a .45ACP!

The Sig 220 is a very good shooter, isn't it? Accurate and reliable. Not overly heavy or chunky and feels good in the hand.

To me, its the only other decent platform for the 45ACP round. If I am not shooting a 1911, I usually have the Sig 220 in my hand.

I've owned a P220 for over a month now and have put just about 1500rnds through it without any problems at all. In my opinion the P220 is my idea of the perfect .45 sidearm.

Im glad to hear this. Just bought my first registered gun today. I went with the Sig P220. I originally went into the shop with the intentions of buying a Glock. But the Sig was around the same price, and felt better in my hand. Everyone I talk to says I got a pretty good deal. $599 ($714 after fees, taxes, etc.)

and I'm glad you enjoyed try'in it out for the first time. The SIG P220A is one
very fine weapon, in a class all by its-self. A bit smaller than a H&K USP, it
has perfect balance, unsurpassed reliability, super accuracy, and outstanding
craftsmanship. I've had a SIG .45 caliber P220A by my side since 1988, and
it truly is my "BACON SAVER"~!:D
