    People are stupid and cheap.

everywhere i looked were CHEAP guns and CHEAP ammo. And that lead to them scratching their heads, muzzle sweeping everyone thinking "*** is wrong with this thing"

The best part is when i tried to help a guy next to me with a Taurus Millennium (he asked for help) and then after trying to explain to him that he needs to clean the gun and possibly try different ammo or new mags he just gets all pissed because he spent "ALL THIS MONEY ON SOMETHING NICE" so he wouldn't have any problems.

People after people were just walking up to their guns and messing with them when the range was cold and people were changing targets.

I finally left... It wasn't because the RO wasn't trying to keep order in the place, it was just that people DON'T LISTEN!

Nobody sweeps up their brass, people buy JUNK and expect it to run like a rolex and then they get all pissy when you ask them to NOT point a damn firearm in your face.

I know this isn't new to anyone here since im sure 90% of us experience this and understand whats wrong with these people but today was a whole new level of observation.

OH, and what really really seems to be a big problem is people taking pictures with their phone of friends holding guns and doing charlies angles poses for their facebook and twitter.

it was just exhausting and not enjoyable at all. really sad to see and its stuff like that, that keeps me from making trips to the range.

Its like "People of Walmart go shooting"

oh well. Had to vent. but it just seems more and more obvious.

I was happy with the 50 mile an hour wind the other day at the range.

No one there but the range officers and I.

I am soooooooooooo glad I live in the boonies and can shoot anywhere I feel like shooting. My back yard is my pistol range and any number of abandoned gravel pits are good for rifle.

I have no desire to go to a range to shoot.... ever.

I was with you up until the "People of Walmart go shooting" crack. My two multi millionaire friends and I shop at Wal Mart.:D

Yeah, I'm glad I don't have to go to public ranges.
It surprises me that more people aren't accidental shot at public ranges.

I usually go during the week when most of the idiots are at work and try to stay away from the range right before deer season when the part time idiots drag out their guns to make sure they still shoot.

unrealistic expectations. people expect quality products no matter the price. it is very hard to find a quality product in anything now a days. guns, guitars, cars, etc.

and i fear it wont get any better........the prices of guns and ammunition keeps going up so more and more people will buy the budget weapons and ammo.

get some land and make your own range. It's hard to beat being able to walk out your back door and be able to shoot up to 400 yards.

I'm not sure what is High Road about ranting about people because they shop at Walmart or perhaps can't afford to spend as much you think is necessary.

Who knows what the guy's story is. Maybe he had to save up an extra 6 months to afford the Taurus instead of a Hi-Point.

While there are some legitimate complains in the thread (sweeping up brass, muzzle discipline, etc), these are quickly overshadowed by the less than High Road comments.
