Got a new job, moving to Richmond VA in a couple of months. Anybody know of any nearby gun clubs or ranges? I'm particularly interested in rifle ranges.

There is also the Chickahominy Wildlife Managment Area about an hour east. It is state run and free. There are rifle and pistol ranges.

Amelia WMA is also about an hour from Richmond. I have never been to the Amelia range but I hear you shoot through cement tubes. Rifle and shotgun ranges only.

In town there is Dominion Shooting Range. $8 to get in and you have to buy their ammo. Kind of pricey but sometimes you only have an hour. Pistols, shoguns, pistol caliber carbines, .22s. They have some fun rentals too.

About an hour north of Richmond is a place called "The Range". same kind of set up as Dominion but it is cheaper to get in and you can bring your own ammo.

    Welcome to Richmond.
