You gotta love the CUSTOMER SERVICE at RCBS.
I had a 300 blackout resizer die that had a stuck case with primer pin stuck in the flash hole and the stem was bent so it wouldn't drill out to tap it.
I just mailed iit back to RCBS and told them I needed two of the screw pieces that holds the resizing stems for two 223 die sets I bought.

They returned the resizer die and two of them stem holders in a black die box, no charge.
I mail the die to RCBS in a padded envelope

I just bought a lee Turret press and a bunch of dies, Lee and RCBS dies.
Two of the lee die sets had a couple of missing pieces.
So I called lee and the recording said I was number 2 and will be a two minute wait

Then the recording said I was number 2 and will be a three minute wait.

the wait time kept increasing by a minute.
When i got up to 12 minutes i hung up and said EFF IT.

I will sell these two die sets for parts. I'm done dealing with Lee.

Nice!

I just picked up a plastic tote of various reloading stuff locally and there is an RCBS hand priming tool in it. I need to call RCBS about the feed piece that the primer tray slides into that connects to the hand primer.

I like some of the Lee products.
The Universal depriming die.
The lee hand priming tool.
The lee bench priming tool.

The Lee manual Lee slaps his own back over & over again.
And some of his reloading data starts out at or over Hornady's max data.

And people said RCBS customer service would go downhill when they merged with, or got bought by Hodgdon. I have gotten the same great service RCBS has always been known for. Just a phone call and the parts came no charge. All they ever asked me is "Where did you buy it?"

I like and use some of their products. I‘m not overly loyal to any particular brand.
Understand your circumstances so that you can define your issues/problems/limitations, study your needs and the products out there that address those needs and go with what works for you.

I don’t think LEE tested for data, it’s all taken from various manufacturer’s data and compiled into one book….?

I don’t personally know this, simply what I have heard/read on the matter…
Thats why i look at the Lyman manual, the Hornady manual and the Lee manual are see what is what for Data.
If I am useing Nosler, Serria or any other name brand bullets I look at their manual.

I never go to the max charge on anything I reload.
Once everything lines up i keep a record for what load for what gun.
My 243 Remington 788 loves 100 grain Hornady SST with 40 grains of IMR 4831.
I bought a bunch of manuals off of Ebay.
So i have a vast amout of loading data to review for load development.

I'm done dealing with Lee.
Not wishing to incur "The Wrath of the Lee Lovers of THR":D I'll just say this - I never started "dealing with Lee" because I've never owned many Lee products. Most of my reloading equipment is RCBS.
OTOH, in almost 50 years of reloading, I've had very little experience with RCBS customer service because I've never had to contact them very often. As luck would have it though, one of the two or three times I've had to contact RCBS customer service was just a couple of months back. I'd bought an extra RCBS 44 Special shell holder because I like to have at least 2 shell holders for every cartridge I load for - one in the die box and one in my RCBS hand priming toolbox.
Unfortunately, the shell holder I bought had been machined wrong, and 44 Special cases wouldn't quite fit in it. So, I called RCBS customer service. There was no wait, and the nice lady I talked to just asked for a name and address to ship the replacement shell holder to - no charge. I even asked if she wanted me to send the faulty shell holder back to RCBS. "No, just toss it in the trash." she said. My new 44 Special shell holder arrived in the mail within a week. :)

The Bullet seating stem on a new set of .300SAV dies was so rough that it would pull the bullet right back out of the case.
I called and asked/reported and they said I could just polish it and I thought it was anodized and was told it's not, but they sent out a new one and didn't want the old one back.
Very nice and fast service once I got through, Lol

I didn't know I had an issue with my 5-10 RCBS scale until I bought a 10-10 scale that isn't magnetically dampened Just to compare and my 5-10 worked exactly like the 10-10!!
I found a 5-10 base on Ebay and that base and magnets work perfectly! What a pleasure!!

The few instances I've had to deal with RCBS CS the results have been outstanding. Way beyond the call of duty. When my son borrowed my 505 scale to weigh his arrow points he lost the pan. I called to order a new one ($20.00) and asked the CSR if she was ready for my credit card #. She absolutely refused even when I explained the situation and I got it in the mail 2 days later.

I bought a set of dies second hand that was missing parts, and I called to purchase them, and they flat out refused payment.

I also have called looking for seating stems to fit an odd bullet, and they dug around in some old boxes and sent me a handful of odd stems to get me going.

About 15 years ago I had an Ohaus 10-10 scale and I called RCBS hoping for a cover, they found an old one in the back and sent it to me free of charge.

Try do that with Lee, it will never happen.
I had a set of lee 30/30 dies and one of the dies has an issue. I called lee up and she said they would replace it if I mailed it in.
Abou a week later I got an email saying it would be $11.00.
I called them back and told them to just throw it away.

Then a few days went buy and I got a $11 credit from lee.

I gave the two other dies away on the local gun forum.

That is why most of my stuff is RCBS, Hornady or Dillion.

I've had great customer service from both RCBS and Lee. I bought a RCBS competition powder measure with both pistol and rifle drums. I decided it was a PITA changing them back and forth and decided to buy all the parts I needed to make two powder measures. They shipped the parts quickly and the cost was actually less than it would have been to buy a new powder measure. Lee has shipped me lots of parts for free, their policy is they'll send you one part free, but if you need another of the same, they charge for the second one. They answer e-mails and phone calls pretty quickly in my experience.

I bought a used RCBS hand primer on eBay and it was missing the large primer parts. I called them to purchase the missing parts, the man would not let me buy them and said they weren’t in the package, sir. I’m setting the replacements now And he would not take any money. I said no you got this all wrong. This is a used part that I bought on an auction site. It’s nothing to do with the factory packaging and he insisted the parts weren’t in the box! I’m gonna take care of it and then I’ve had two run ins with Lyman customer service. One trickler was bad and they fought me a little bit on getting a replacement but they did send it and then I just had a primer mechanism that was giving me trouble on the All-American eight and they sent a primer whole assembly brand new with extra tubes and everything for free

I've had great customer service from both RCBS and Lee. ...
Ditto. On several occasions I have had to call RCBS to buy some missing and/or broken bits and they never charged me anything, not even shipping.

I only recall one call that I had with Lee involving some extra bits that I wanted to get for my Lee Turret Press. IIRC, the nice, friendly fellow told me to go to the website and place the order for bits that I required. He shipped them to me Free&Free. WOW!

So ... both organizations, for those attitudes & kindnesses and the fact that I really like their products, are Numbah One in my book. ;)

I have yet to need to call any manufacturers customer support for reloading products.

I use mixed brand gear. It all works as intended. The only problem I have is every once in a while different brands don’t work well together for reasons of overlapping tolerances but that’s easy to accommodate.

Brand loyalty aside, I agree with @Anchorite - use what works best for you. It’s the only way.
